Sourced from lush green landscapes of Bhaderwah valley and Doda district (area nearby Bhaderwah), the Bhaderwah rajma is grown at high altitudes of nearly 5480 feet of Jammu and Kashmir. The beans are best grown in acidic soils with fine tilth and carry the unrefined and raw taste of mountains leading to gaining the GI tag for the district.

Appearance: The kidney shaped beans are small in size with typically rich, deep red coloured appearance.

Taste or flavour: When cooked, the beans retain the red colour, hold their shape and readily imbibes the flavour offering the creamy texture with delicate earthy-sweetness adding on to the delightful and distinct flavour profile experiences.
